April Brassard began swimming with the Marlins Stroke Workshop, before becoming the first member to register for the Potomac Marlins when it became a USA Swim Team in 1994.  She has been coaching with the Marlins since 2008.  This 2010-11 winter marked her fourth season as Assistant Coach of Annandale High School Varsity Swim and Dive.  April has been the Head Coach of the NVSL team, the North Springfield Swim Club Dolphins (NVSL) since 2010. She has also coached with the NVSL team Forest Hollow, where she began coaching in the year 2000, and with the NVSL team the Hiddenbrook Hurricanes. She was also a coach with Swim Hawaii in Honolulu.  She loves the sport of swimming, and is very interested in stroke technique.  She has attended the 2010 ASCA World Clinic and the ASCA 2011 Backstroke Clinic, and is also very interested in opportunities for education in coaching.  April is a Theater Major at George Mason University, specializing in Playwrighting and Scenic Design.
