Bob Brofft has been coaching swimming in Northern Virginia since 2000.  He joined the Marlins in 2006, and since then has represented Potomac Valley three times as a coach at the Eastern Zone Championships.  Bob is also an assistant coach at Marymount University.

Bob grew up swimming at Chase Club in the Colonial Swim League, and quickly became enamored with the sport.  He continued to train and had opportunities to compete for Victor Swim Club and Robinson Secondary School, where he earned Honorable Mention All-Met honors from the Washington Post in 2000 and 2001.  His favorite events involved breaststroke, and he advanced to the consolation finals of the Colonial Athletic Association Championships three times for the College of William & Mary, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics in 2006.
