Steve Ercolano grew up in Northern Virginia and swam summer league at Hollin Meadows in the 1960's and 70's. Steve continued to swim throuh High School. His coaching career started in 1973 at the Mt. Vernon Yacht Club in the Dominion Country Club League. He coached summer league through the 70's and 80's for various teams including Mt. Vernon Yacht Club, Commonwealth, Hollin Meadows, Virginia Hills and Holmes Run. From 1980 - 1984, Steve coached Ft. Hunt High School. Before joining Potomac Marlins in 2001, Steve was a member of the Curl Burke coaching Staff for 20 years coaching out of Lee District Rec. Center and the Dunn Loring YWCA. Steve was a PVS Zone Team Coach in 1985 & 1986, served as PVS Coaches Rep. from 1988 - 1992, and was also the Senior Swimming Chairman for PVS from 1993 - 1999. Steve was also the USA Swimming Bronze Select Camp Coach in 1992 and was USA Swimmings Select Camp Director in 1994. Steve is currently certified as an ASCA level 4 swim coach with the American Swim Coaches Association. When he is not coaching, he is busy as the owner of AquaPro, Inc., a local pool management company since 1983.
