Clare started swimming at the age of 7 for Northern Virginia Swim League at Woodley Pool in Falls Church, VA. At the age of 15 she became one of the Assistant coaches on the team and in the summer of 2008 she took over the head coach position. Clare recently graduated from James Madison University in May 2009 with Health Sciences degree. While at JMU, she became one of the assistant coaches for Valley Area Swim Team, a USS team based in Harrisonburg, VA.

As a swim coach, Clare has coached different ages and ability levels. She experience in everything from teaching kids how to swim to stroke improvement to speed and endurance. Clare has a huge passion for swimming and loves sharing that with the kids she coaches. She looks forward to a fun season with the Marlins and getting to know all the kids!
