Marc Francis began his Carrier in aquatics with Metro Wellness learning stroke techniques and aquatics safety. Volunteering his services for Metro Wellness, Marc taught summer programs at Howard University for the National youth Sports Camp.  The programs mission was to teach water safety, and the red cross learn to swim programs to DC children.  That success caught the attention of Howard University's swim coach Daryle Fogan, who mentored and steered Marc towards competitive coaching.

Volunteering with TPDC DC, Marc taught stroke clinics to members of the DC Wave team for two years, and later became an assistant coach under Roger McCoy, where he has had wonderful success in helping the team achieve success in and out of the pool, with several swimmers making the Junior Olympics.

Marc will be continuing his education at the University if Maryland, studying human development and movement.  In 2010 he will be returning to the military reserves to begin his studies medicine with hopes of becoming a doctor.
