Stephanie began swimming at age 4 for the Dunn Loring Dolphins. She went on to swim with the Potomac Marlins during early elementary school and then continued swimming with the Quantico Sharks and the YMCA Sting Rays after moving to Stafford.  Stephanie was sidelined from competitive swimming in her freshman year of college due to three rotator cuff injuries, but still enjoyed swimming at a less intense pace on her own.  Stephanie has been coaching since 2008, and has been a private competitive swimming instructor since 2003.  Stephanie hopes to one day start a swim team for kids with special needs in the Leesburg area and is happy to be working with the Potomac Marlins USA team as of the 2010-11 season.
