2010 Friendship Mini Meet 2
Conratulations to the Mini Marlins Friendshp Mini Meet team for their recent performance at the Friendship Mini Meet 2 at Providence Rec. Center on Sunday February 21, 2010. Leading the Marlins team performance with 3 for 3 personal best times were Leo Goldblatt and Sarah Yao. Leo had two great time drops in the 25 Back and 50 Fly and whittled out a new PR ( Personal Record) in the 50 Free. Sarah's best swims came in the 100 I.M. and 50 back and her third PR of the day came in the 50 Breast. WAY TO GO!
Seven other Mini Marlins had 2 or 3 PR's for the meet including Amy Appler who had the meets TOP time drop performance of nearly 32 seconds in the 100 I.M. Sydney Baxter had two great swims resuting in significant time drops in both the 25 Free and 25 back. Celie Feighery swam a great 100 I.M. and cut a half second of time in her 50 Free for her second PR of the day. Gavin Flanagan's 2 time drop swims came in the 50 Free and 25 back. Jason Gerber recorded his 2 PRs in the 25 Back and 25 Fly. Sean Jansen had a very impressive 50 Back time drop of over 7 seconds and a new PR in the 50 Free. Cate Lord had the meets 4th biggest time drop (8 seconds) with an outstanding swim in the 50 Back and a second PR for the day in the 25 Back. Hannah Gammill's 8.26 second time drop in the 25 back ranked as the team's second highest improvement of the meet with Cayly Timmins' 8.20 second time drop in the 25 Free a very close thrid.
In total, the Mini Marlins turned in a respectable 54% best time meet performance on the day. GREAT job to all swimmers and congrats on all of the new PR's. Make sure to take time to set some new goals for the last part of the season with only 2-3 Mini Meet opportunities remaining.
