2011 Spring Gator Mini Meet
Congratulations to the 8 & under Marlins Gator Mini Meet squad swimming in the final Short Course meet of the season. Some great swims were accomplished during the two day meet at the brand new Washington and Lee H.S. pool in Arlington.
Despite coming directly off of the Marlins 2-week Spring Break, there were many personal best times some of which were significant. Gavin Flanagan topped the list with 5 personal best times and the team's second highest top time drop performance of the meet in the 100 I.M. (-15.45). Spencer Flanagan, not far behind had the team's third largest time drop in the 25 Free (-12.54). Way to go Flanagan brothers!
Along with Gavin, Dylan Major and Jeff Gerber were swimming in there final PVS short course Mini Meet before aging up to the 9-10 group. Dylan had 4 best times, 2 first place finishes, a second place and 2 third places finishes. Jeff had 3 personal best times, a second place and 2 third place finishes. Good job guys! Unfortunately, this meet will be your last meet with a timeline of only 45 minutes....
Devon Marlin had 3 best times and broke a minute in the 50 free for the first time. Elizabeth Williamson had an outstanding meet with 3 best times and the meet's largest time drop in the 100 Free (-20.77) Way o go Ellie!!
Max Dailey also broke a minute in the 50 Free for the first time with the team's 4th largest time drop (-5.66). Swimming in only his second USA meet, William Bernstein also broke a minute in the 50 Free for the first time and claimed the meets 3rd largest time drop of 8.59 seconds. Welcome to the SUB-MINUTE CLUB boys! Nice swims.
