FT. LAUDERDAL TEAM TRAINING TRIP A BIG SUCCESS!

I just wanted to send you all a quick note on our Training Trip to Ft. Lauderdale...

First off, thanks for sending your kids on this trip.  It made a big impression with the team and we have been given the go ahead to do this again as it proved to be a huge success!  Thanks for trusting us with your children.

Everyone did great on the trip with only a few minor issues.  All the kids behaved wonderfully.  Top end swimmers swam 57,200 yards in 9 workouts, That is just over 38 miles!!...some kids swam more during the first 3 workouts than they swim in an entire week!!  But they all handled it great and they all seemed to have fun as well.  They were tired but they learned a lot and hopfully came out of it knowing they can push their bodies beyond what they may have thought going in.  For those who were out of shape going in, they at least know what is expected of them in the future and perhaps will be inspired to make more of a committment next season.

New friendships were forged...

New limits were achieved...

New goals will be set...

Kids learned something about the history of swimming at the Iternational Swimming Hall of Fame

Kids learned the importance of using sun block!...

And lots of fish were seen on the snorkeling trip.

Best of all is that we have already started planning next year's trip back to the Hall of Fame pool in Ft. Lauderdale.  Hope you will join us again!

Kevin and I had a wonderful time thanks to the kids being so well behaved and working so hard in the pool.  We are very proud of all of them.  See you all poolside very soon!
