Friendship Mini Meet
17 Potomac Marlins swimmers competed in the one day friendship Mini Meet held at the Madeira School in Great Falls VA on Sunday November 13th. Once again the team had a great showing and showed great potential growth with 62% of the swims being first time events.
Kate Chrestman lead the Marlins team with a perfect 3 for 3 best time performance with a total cumulative time drop of over 17 seconds. Great job Kate! Way to go.
Close behind were Erin Motherway and Abigail St. Jean each with two best times. Erin's best times were in the 5o Back and the 25 Fly and her other 3 events during the meet were first time swims. Erin's impressive 14.35 second drop in the 50 Back was the team's top time drop performance. Abigail swam 2 best times in the 25 Back and the 25 Breast with her third swim being a first time event in the 50 Breast. Awesome meet Erin and Abigail!
With regards to race results, (win, place and show), several Marlins brought home some Blue, Red and White ribbons.
- Abigail St. Jean placed 3rd in the 50 Breast and 2nd in the 25 Breast.
- Elizabeth Williamson placed 2nd in the 50 Fly.
- Kate Chrestman placed 3rd in the 25 Breast.
- Rachel Jacobson placed 1st in the 50 Breast!
