Potomac Valley Swimming Meet Annoucements

Please Note: The Potomac Marlins are currently awaiting a NEW on-line meet entry system which is reported to be a joint venture between our current on-line registration company ( THRIVA ) and the company that operates all of USA Swimmings meet data entry operations ( HYTEK ). Until that time comes, all meet entries must be e-mailed directly to the designated FACILITY ENTRY COACH.

2010-11 FACILITY ENTRY COACHES

PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN ALL MEET ENTRY E-MAILS.

BE SURE TO CHECK THE MEET ENTRY HUB PAGE 3-4 DAYS AFTER THE MEET ENTRY DUE DATE TO VERIFY THAT YOUR ENTRY HAS BEEN RECEIVED AND RECORDED CORRECTLY. NOTIFY COACH BILL MARLIN IMMEDIATELY SHOULD THERE BE ANY ERRORS OR OMMISSIONS WITH YOUR MEET ENTRY.

• MEET NAME

• DATE OF MEET

• SWIMMER NAME (First, Middle, Last)

• SWIMMER B-DAY

• AGE ON FIRST DAY OF MEET

• NOTE SWIMMER AS UNNATTACHED IF DATE OF LAST COMPETITION FOR A PREVIOUS TEAM WAS LESS THAN 120 DAYS PREVIOUS TO THE FIRST DAY OF THE MEET.

• LIST EACH EVENT ENTERED AS FOLLOWS:
  EVENT #, AGE GROUP, GENDER, DISTANCE, STROKE, ENTRY TIME (best time, if known)

Swimmers must add an Entry Time Verification if times were achieved in meets outside the Potomac Valley LSC and/or their times are not recorded in the team database (example: if you transferred to the Potomac Marlins from another USS team and your best times are not in our database). Falsification of these times will result in the swimmer being fined $100 by Potomac Valley Swimming. If no entry time is provided the swimmer should enter NT (no time) in the "Time" column next to each event. If this is necessary please include for each event,

• DISTANCE, STROKE, TIME, NAME OF MEET, MEET LSC (location), MEET DATE.

Potomac Marlin's Parent Meet Volunteer Form

Potomac Marlin parents are encouraged to volunteer a portion of their time at all swim meets in which their swimmers are registered to compete. USA meets are run entirely by parent volunteers and each team is required to have meet volunteers at each meet proportional to their team entries. Please indicate the times and positions in which you are willing to help. Volunteer hours are credited towards each families Volunteer Credit Fund (VCF). Please indicate your volunteer preference along with your meet entry. This will help greatly with the volunteer management for each meet.
