2011-12 TEAM PLACEMENT TRYOUTS INFO

The Potomac Marlins are no longer conducting special drop-in placement tryouts.

New members who wish to tryout the team or specific practices must do so during regularly scheduled practices once the season begins on Monday, Sept 11th. The Marlins accept new members all season long on a monthly pro-rated payment system.

Approval from the Team Manager must be given to attend practices for tryouts and a GUEST TRYOUT PASS must be obtained fromthe team manager. To obtain a Guest Tryout Pass, please contact Barry Marlin at potomacmarlins@comcast.net and supply swimmers name, preferred practice location, PROGRAM, day of the week, and mailing address. Guest Tryout Passes are good for up to two practice/sessions prior to registration.

To determine appropriate practice GROUP/PROGRAM to attend for the tryout, please review the PROGRAM RECOMMENDATIONS and BASE ABILITY LEVEL chart. Tryout swimmers should plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the practice and introduce themselves to the deck coach(es) and present the Tryout pass at that time.
