The Marlins Stroke Workshop is designed for novice to intermediate level swimmers age 9-14 years old.
- Swimmers must be currently active in a USA Swimming league/program, summer league (NVSL/Colonial, etc...) or have plans to become active in a competitive program within 1 year of the program start date.
- Swimmers must be familiar with all four competitive strokes.
Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly
- Swimmers must be able to complete at least one lap of each of the four competitive strokes without stopping (These strokes must be performed to a level of recognition but do not have to be legal).
- Swimmers must be capable of paying attention and cooperation in a group situation.
- All participants must wear fitted goggles of their choice and wear competitive racing swim suits (no shorts).
- A minimum of one year competitive experience is required.
- This is NOT a learn to swim program!
Please Note: Swimmers unable to meet the minimum Workshop requirements will be encouraged to join the Potomac Marlins developmental program, the Mini Marlins, (or with an equivalent learn to swim program) until skills have developed sufficiently.
