2024-25 season team registration is now open!

Hello Potomac Marlins parents and prospective new members:
The 2024-25 season registration will officially open tomorrow, May 1st. Registrations, as always, are taken on a first come basis until programs are full. We strongly encourage you to register before June 1st to assure your space in the program. After June 1st there are no guarantees or assurances as we begin accepting new members on an equal basis at that time. Please be sure to carefully read the registration and payment instructions on the web site AND on the actual registration contract agreement pages.
Only the registration deposit fee (non-refundable) is required at the time of registration unless choosing the early bird payment option. Credit card payments and ACH payments are the only method of payment accepted. Credit Card payments are immediate. ACH payments are always charged on the first day of the following month.
The most significant change for the 24-25 season registration process is that USA Swimming is now allowing teams to go back to the option of the TEAM registering their entire membership together in one file. This greatly simplifies the process for the team and its members. This means that members no longer have to add the third step to the registration process by registering externally with USAS. The team will once again take care of that for everyone.
There are only 2 steps to the Potomac Marlins registration process. Be sure to complete both steps or you will not be officially registered or have a spot in the program.
- REGISTRATION: (Marlins home page under 24-25 Team Reg. tab) – Select pool, enter Swimmer/ Family Information input & payment
- PRACTICE SELECTION: (link provided in the Registration “success page”) chose specific Time / Days to secure spot in program. Program Days and Times will be listed as FULL on the web site when they reach this point, whereafter these options will no longer be available. We will attempt to note when practice slots are “almost full” as well.
Potomac Marlins Deck coaches should be sending program level recommendations for each swimmer for the new season very soon. Please contact coaches directly if you have not received this information by the end of this week.
The summer PLACEMENT EVALUTATION schedule for new members will be posted to the web site soon. Current swimmers who are advancing rapidly over the summer may seek a new evaluation if desired. Please also let your summer league teammates know the Placement Evaluation schedule and direct them to contact your primary MARLINS deck coach with questions OR Coach Barry and Coach Bill. (Please contact the registrar ONLY for registration process and/or payment questions. The registrar cannot answer program placement and eligibility questions.)

May 1, 2024: Registration opens for Current/ Returning Competitive Track swimmers
June 1, 2024: Registration opens for NEW Competitive Track swimmers and South Run Home School.
June 15, 2024: Registration opens for Returning AND New Conditioning Track swimmers.
June 22, 2024: EARLY BIRD payment option deadline. (no exceptions)
July 1, 2024: Registration opens for High School Conditioning programs.
July 26, 2024: Last day of Marlins summer program.
September 9, 2024: First Day of the 2024-25 Regular practice schedule. ( Senior boot camp weeks will begin earlier, TBA).
COMPETITION TRACK programs:
Senior Gold (SG), Senior Silver (SS), Senior-Prep Gold (SPG), Age Group Aerobic Development (AGAD), Age Group Stroke Development (AGSD), Mighty Marlins (MM)
CONDITIONING TRACK programs:
Silver Conditioning 90 (SC90), Silver Conditioning 60 (SC60), High School Conditioning (HSC).
