REGISTRATION FOR THE 23-24 SEASON WILL OPEN TO CURRENT MEMBERS ON FRIDAY, MAY 5TH.  REGISTRATION WILL OPEN TO NEW MEMBERS ON JUNE 1ST, ON A FIRST COME BASIS UNTIL PROGRAMS ARE FULL.

The 2023-24 season starts September 11th.  Morning Senior training groups will start earlier at summer pools. (TBA)
The FINAL day of the 2022-23 Short Course Season is Thursday May 23rd.  The final day of the SUMMER 2023 program is Friday,  July 25th

Payment Options for 2023-2024 Season

• EARLY BIRD: 5% discount applied.
  • Pay full advertised fee prior to the Earlybird payment deadline of June 15th, 2023.  
• STANDARD: 
  • Pay $500 registration deposit at time of registration.
  • The full balance payment will be auto-withdrawn on October 1st.
• EXTENDED: Five Payment Plan. 5% service charge applied.
  • ​Pay $500 registration deposit at time of registration.
  • Pay remaining balance across five payments on October 1, November 1, December 1, February 1, and March 1. Please note, a 5% service fee is added to the balance due.
  • The EXTENDED payment option is not available after November 1st and the processing of the November 1st payment.
     

PLEASE NOTE:  Once made, Team Fees are non-refundable for any reason including early withdrawal, illness, injury, moving etc... Acknowledgement of this policy is required on the Registration Form in order for it to be processed.

 Available Discounts & Credits

• Multi-Athlete Discounts 
  • $150 per additional athlete discount will be taken at the time of registration.
  • Swimmers must be registered at the same time for the discount to apply.
    • If registering siblings at different times, you must contact the registrar to apply the sibling discount.
       
• Active ​Military Credit
  ​At the time of registration you will be asked if you are active Military.  If you answer YES, you will receive an automatic $5 discount at that time.  You will then send a copy of your ORDERS to the Registrar within 7 days and you will then receive the remaining credit to your account.   $250 Credit for registrations prior to Dec 31.  I​f registering after January 1, a $100 family Credit will be added to your account.
   
• ​Referral Credit
  • A $50 credit per swimmer is available to current team members who refer a NEW swimmer for their first season with the Potomac Marlins.  Referral credits do not apply to family members, or swimmers who have previously been with the Potomac Marlins.  Referral credits are typically applied to accounts by the end of October.  The family you are referring must indicate YOUR name on their registration form or they must conact the registrar for you to receive the credit.
     
• 11-Month Upgrade 
  Registered 9-month swimmers who are interested in UPGRADING to the 11-month program during the season are eligible for the following summer fee discounts if they register prior to the following dates.  
  ​
  • January 1st: 40% summer fee discount
  • February 1st: 30% summer fee discount
  • March 1st: 20% summer fee discount
  • April 1st: 10 % summer fee discount
    
    Note: A 50% discount is built into the 11-month fees for those who initially register for the 11-month program.  

Other Notes

• ​Team Registration / Membership fees include:
  • Outfitting package that corresponds to your year as a member of the Marlins.
    • ​Team members who are in their fourth year or longer will receive an $80 Sport Fair outfitting voucher with their yearly package which can be used at the annual outfitting day event or at any point prior to Dec 20 of each year..
    • High School and Home School programs do not include outfitting.  Team outfitting items can be purchased separately at Sport Fair: (703)-524-9500 at any time during the season for those interested.
       
• ​Team Registration / Membership fees DO NOT include:
  •  USA Swimming Registration & Insurance fees.  This additional fee is paid to USA Swimming at the 3rd step of the registration process. (since 2022)
     
  • Meet Entry Fees are charged per meet typically at the end of each month.  Meet entry fees vary per meet and can always be found on the Meet Announcents for all meets.
     
  • Travel Meet / coach fees for out of town meets or other team events and functions.  
    • ​TEAM TRAVEL (swimmers stay together as a team) trips will have coach costs factored in to per swimmer cost and a team subsidy will be applied based upon the number of swimmers attending.
    • INDIVIDUAL TRAVEL (swimmers stay with family) trips will charge coach costs up to a max. of $150 per swimmer in order to cover a min. of 1/2 coach costs.
    • Required practice equipment (goggles, fins, pull buoys, snorkels, hand paddles, etc...) 
       
• Late Registration Pro-rate
  • If you are registering after October 1, you will only be charged the reg. deposit at that time. The balance will be pro-rated on a weekly basis and invoiced for payment on the first of the following month.
